Note
Folks; I am very disappointed to see that geocachers, not muggles, are “abusing” this cache. I shouldn’t have to go out of my way to tell finders not move or rehide containers so that it is easier to find. I also shouldn’t have to tell you not to break and take stuff apart just because you might not have the special tool you need.
This cache is rated and hidden the way it is to give you a moderate challenge and something fun / different from the plethora of “park and grabs” in this area. If you don’t feel compelled to spend the little bit of effort to rehide stuff properly, or can’t resist tearing customized containers apart; then I ask you pass this one over and try something else. Thanks.
Fancy yourself an experienced geocacher? Can you handle the log and sign it? This is a 2 stage multi-cache with the a total travel distance required to find all of the stages of less than 1 mile. Please note the listed attributes.
During the course of our geocaching adventures, we often have misadventures where we are challenged to properly handle the log. Lost pens, broken pencils, (unintentionally) stuck containers, damaging weather, and missing / damaged / wet logs are some examples. I have seen cachers attempt to overcome these challenges by placing expedient replacement logs on a blank check, business cards, toilet paper, and even a one dollar bill. In other cases, some cachers have taken a picture of the log and posted it to compensate for a missing writing utensil. In my own travels I have seen a container in a block of ice, had a pen fall off a mountain cliff, helplessly watched a river sweep away my pencil, been bullied by a strong wind ripping a log out of my hand, and even bled all over a log while trying to sign it.
In contrast to what most of us go through to properly handle a log, there are those cachers that only sign online without actually even visiting a cache. Clearly, they can't handle the log.
In order to claim a find on this multi-cache, you are going to have to properly handle the log and sign it. Please take care to reset hides exactly as you found them to preserve the difficulty rating and fun for the next cacher. Good luck on the hunt.
