Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Short hike (less than 1km)

This isn't the Notch Mountain mountain biking destination in the Uinta Range in Utah.
Or Franconia Notch Mountain in New Hampshire.
Or Notch Mountain, the ranked 13er with the famous summit shelter near Mt. of the Holy Cross in Colorado.
No, this is a nice little gem of a ranked 9er. At 9,665 feet, it's the 2,510th highest mountain in Colorado with an impressive prominence of 440 feet. Still, when you complete the quarter-mile hike and reach the summit, you are rewarded with a high-angle view of Eagle Lake Camp and Palmer Reservoir and a panoramic view of the Rampart Range and beyond.

Lookie here, cellphone reception! On a nice fall afternoon run today. Starting with this own and working my way E from here onto the valley. I can. I can now put another "notch" into my GC record book with this one. Looks good for the upcoming winter. Thanks Ernie for the cache!

I approached this one from "All That Remains" and that was one rocky approach. Once I arrived at GZ I was able to make a quick find. After signing the log I sat down and enjoyed the view. TFTC.

Amazing view from up here. Worth the sweat. We bushwhacked from the suggested parking spot and it took us up and down and through nice meadows. Finally made it. The buzzards (see pictures) were waiting for us to fall to our deaths. Really! Left some swag and picked up the TB.

Came over from All That Remains. Must have found a good route, because it went well with just a few short sections of large boulders. Enjoyed the view from the ridge and the summit, and descended to the road so I only had to walk it once back to parking. Thanks for the cache. Dropped Hiker Bunny in the large container.
