This cache is hidden on one of the nice trails in O'Fallon Park. This is the seventh in a series of caches. In order to find this cache you must have found three of the first six caches in the series that have codes written in their lids that begin with 7. To figure out where this cache actually is, you must use the math below.

The published coordinates are in the parking lot for Pence Park and is a good place to park. You could park in the lot for O'Fallon Park as well.

From the posted coordinates, I hiked 2.3 miles get to where I hid the cache. Solve this puzzle to figure out where your actual destination is:

First, take the three numbers that begin with 7 from the other caches and discard the first digit (the 7) from each number resulting in three two digit numbers.

Add the smallest and middle numbers together and add 2 more to get xx. Subtract the smallest number from the largest and then add 8 more to get yy. Then plug those numbers here:

N 39 38.xx9 W 105 16.yy7

You can check your answers for this puzzle on GeoChecker.com.

Oh, and bring your own pen.

If you found and logged one of the first six caches but don't have the number from its lid, send me an email with your cacher id and I will provide the number free of charge.

I was so glad when I checked this am I had the codes for all 3 (thanks to the CO for the one I couldn't find) did the math & saw success. I plotted the final but thought I'd rather do the hike with my geo dog. But when I got in the area to find other caches the weather started getting pretty so I made the hike anyway (sorry Hitch). I remember how beautiful it is up here when we used to ride this trail but then the city came to the foothills and horses became useless & too scary for city folks. Bummer

I'm happy to finish the initial 8 of the Trail Mix caches! Now onto the next group.

I love this series and can't wait to go onto my next journey. TFTC!

Wow! What a lovely peaceful setting for the cache. I think this is my favorite of the series (so far). Quite a few mountain bikers out. I also saw the mile high youth camp trail crew. I'm giving this one a favorite point. I took the West Ridge Trail back, to make the hike a little longer.
