This is a readily accessible site with a couple of different parking options.  There is a lot of traffic passing by this location so 'shoulder parking' is discouraged! A better parking choice is a pull-out along the Fox Hill CC driveway entry. It is a fairly safe hunt for families and pets if you use the suggested starting point.  Two hazards you are likely to encounter though are 'goat head' weeds and rose thorns - so proceed with caution. Remember to bring your own signing device.

This cache will take you on a short hike to an example of an Art in Public Places (AIPP) sculpture that was installed around 2005 at a cost of $220,000.  Some folks at the time questioned the decision to spend so much money on a non-functioning artifact that would continue to consume from Longmont's maintenance budget with no obvious gain to the citizens who were paying for it. Was this an example of our tax dollars hard at work they asked?  As you stroll over to this cache, check it out and decide for yourself - might you have found a more preferred use of your money if it hadn't been taken from you and used for this? This is an undeniably beautiful spot with or without a sculpture!

Congrats to waawhoo on FTF - that was awesome quick!!

Checked the cache today and it had fallen out of it’s ‘hidy hole’, but otherwise was in good shape. Replaced log with a new one. Happy hunting next to the “ears”!

I think we had the right idea here, but we did not spot the geocache in any of the locations near the coordinates.
