I've had this one and Sober Monkey (Challenge) on my "to do" list ever since they were first published. Today I decided to head that way and do a little climbing. I first went to Sober Monkey but the TOTT I brought wasn't going to cut it so off to this one I went. Made the nice short walk to GZ and surveyed the situation. No TOTT necessary, just a little extra effort to leave the ground and the rest was pretty easy. Found a comfortable position and was able to retrieve the container, sign the log, and put everything back in order. Then I made the controlled descent to terra firma and headed back home. Thanks Snipermedic for this fun cache!!! I shouldn't have waited so long to do it.

Found this one with my mom and she held the dogs while I climbed. This little one was very confused about why I climbed a tree. Tyftc

Our Colorado vacation continued today with a drive from Estes Park to Ft Collins. As my avatar shows, I enjoy tree climbing, so attempting this cache was a must. A dog at a neighboring home barked at me for a few moments, but I think he got bored once I disappeared from view. Found, signed, and was back on our way. TFTC!

Spent the night a few miles away after driving in from Kansas City yesterday. Today is an acclimitizing day in the area before doing some 14ers this week. Spotted this sweet 5/5 nearby and put it on the list this morning. I have several hides sort of like this in KC that people sort of "like". Depends on who you ask. None of mine are that high, though. Made it quickly (and carefully) with no tools and signed the log (with death grip on a branch with one arm). Nicely done. I don't qualify for the nearby challenge so I passed that one up.
Easy favorite.

Ok, will be back with support for this one. Hubby was willing, but I said NO WAY!

I came to the area this morning to look for the new Sober Monkey (Challenge) cache. I was unsuccessful in getting my eyes on it while making the tree climb. After finishing with the sober one, I had time to come over to climb like a drunken monkey. I decided to leave my ladder on the Blazer, and made the climb to the cache box without using a ladder. Signed the log. Thanks, Snipermedic.

Had to prove to myself that I could still get a cache like this. Woohoo. Thanks for placing it.

Competency, Safety, Danger, Respect; I'm all over that.
As I was gearing up to attend a non-caching event, Renée announced a new cache only 2 miles from our house. Wow. The last time I climbed a 40' tree our friend Bary was nearby looking out for my best interests. Why not call Bary and see if he's available.
Not only was he available he was on his way to GZ. Not only was he on his way, he called for reinforcements. Welcome Memfis Mafia and NotBritish.
Thanks for the tools and the great collaboration. I followed Hallie up the tree. Fun impromptu get-together.
