The Trail

This trail of Wherigo caches has been put together to be a fun experience. This trail should be accessible to most geocachers whether you are new to Wherigos or have found thousands. To make it easier on cachers, the cartridges are grouped into bunches of 10. Additionally, each one has been developed in the play anywhere style. In case you are unfamiliar, this means you can play the games at home, then come out and cache until your heart is content.

The Containers

The containers for each of these caches are of mixed types.

The Wherigos

Each Wherigo cartridge contains quizzes for ten geocaches. Each one can be played from anywhere and will provide you with the final coordinates for each geocache.

I decided to go up North today to get a missing DeLorme page, and I managed to get some Wherigos, counties, and virtuals along the way. I loved the play anywhere Wherigos since I could solve them ahead of time; I managed to sign them all in about an hour. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for me to find. TFTC.

We traveled from Colorado Springs to Northern Colorado for a couple days to get some geocaches. We found and signed this one way out here in the grasslands. With all the rain the grass was very green and there were wildflowers everywhere. Thanks for placing this Wherigo cache for us to find today.

My puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo almost always have a "pack play date" each Tuesday and Thursday morning when a neighbor brings his four dogs over for a walk around the farm. It's always an exciting time for the six dogs. Our puppies almost always know when those two days of the week come along, and from the moment after breakfast those mornings they eagerly await the sound of a text message coming in about 8 am, indicating the neighbor and his dogs are on the way. It didn't happen this morning because the neighbor is out of the state. Chimi Swift and Zaba waited and waited, getting more and more anxious and then almost despondent. Well, I needed to get them out somewhere as a reasonable substitute for their play date. Why not hit the prairie again? They had enjoyed that earlier trip out there for the wherigos. I had solved the ten "new" wherigos quickly after they were published, and no one had been out to find them yet. So we piled into the car and headed for the grasslands. I made the ten {FTF}s quickly, and the dogs got to romp around on the Pawnee National Grassland at each stop. Perhaps, I'm not certain, this was a satisfactory substitute for their missed time with their "pack". Thanks for the new addition to the Northern Colorado Wherigo Trail, Memfis Mafia!
