I'm not made for winter, I really should live somewhere like Miami.  But I'm adjusting and wearing layers.  I've even found a cache while wearing snow shoes.

The challenge requirements:

  • Log 500 caches that have one of the the following Winter attributes:  May Require Skis,  May Require Snowshoes, Snowmobiles Allowed, Available During Winter, Seasonal Access Only
  • Must find at least 1 of each attribute

I qualify for this cache with 33 May Require Skis, 35 May Require Snowshoes, 14 Snowmobiles Allowed, 1694 Available During Winter, and 118 Seasonal Access Only

Use the challenge checker below to verify you qualify or to check your progress:

WOO-HOO! Not very cold today with temps pushing 80 degrees, big sun and NO WIND! I am one of those weirdo's that actually likes Caching in the snow and icy conditions, and enjoy the extra added Challenge of deploying various TOTT's to aid in the extraction process. I even chased a FTF at GCA2EXA in a blinding snow storm up on Loveland Pass earlier this year! Sick, Stupid, or Twisted?? You decide....

I joined forces with Benji59 this morning, and had a delightful time adding our stamps to a whole bunch of logs out here. Thanks to CO Lasouthpaw for creating and placing these fun new Challenges for us to find and still continue to work on. TFTC!

GeoDog74 has used Project-GC to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

I joined forces today with GeoDog74 as we hit up these challenges and some lonely caches out on the plains. Will log as found when I confirm I qualify.

After using the challenge checker and discovering that GanderGoose had nine qualifying caches, Spartacus Geodog and I went for a ride on the plains. There was utter peace, beautiful vocalization of songbirds, and the nine caches. On the way back north, we saw a gorgeous pronghorn couple on the road. Thanks for the placement, lasouthpaw!

Qualifying information: GanderGoose fulfills challenge A Plain Cache #10: the Why Am I So Cold Challenge (GCA7VE8) according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCA7VE8/77458. 2,248 total found: 4 caches of Cross-country skis required, 2084 caches of available in winter, 131 caches of seasonal access only, 7 of may require snowshoes, 23 of snowmobiles allowed.

[FTF] 5-13-2023 AT 5:18 pm. The view of billowing highlighted and deep gray clouds from here is amazing. Thanks for "challenging" me to come out here today on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. Here are the papers to prove I'm legally qualified for this find:
LostinDenver has used Project-GC to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

You have found 29 caches of type "Cross-country skis required"
You have found 4582 caches of type "Available in winter"
You have found 312 caches of type "Seasonal access only"
You have found 47 caches of type "May require snowshoes"
You have found 114 caches of type "Snowmobiles allowed"

Today was rough. I worked, but had to leave early with a migraine headache. After going home, taking medicine, and a 4 hour nap, I was mostly recovered. I headed to an event, then off to a powertrail of challenge caches. That was a blast involving rolling skies and powering through muddy roads. Afterward, I headed northwest and cached back into civilization. Another great day of caching in the books!
Thanks for the cache!
