At the very top of Jensen Memorial Park. Steep climb, hiking trails are scheduled to be completed in 2013. If you survive the climb, you may appreciate some of the good SWAG.
Do not try to go directly to this cache from the 7th street trailhead unless you have some technical climbing skills. From this trailhead at the top of 7th street in Meeker, follow the trails northeast with several switchbacks that provide a trail not nearly as steep as going direct up the northeast point of the ridge. Go to the top of the ridge and make your way through the old burn area until right above the cache. Then go straight down a very short ways until you are greeted by a Cedar tree with wide stretched open (though chopped off short) arms. On the downhill side of this tree, amongst the limbs and roots, you will find the cache, an ammo box covered by a rock. Contents of the cache are survival related and a step above the normal SWAG.

In town from PA to help a friend move to Meeker. Needed to get out and explore on this beautiful morning and after having done the lower trails Monday, I knew this view was the target. Great climb and workout. Incredible view! TNLN TFTC (which is in great shape!)

We walk this trail on a regular basis. Decided to geocache on this bluebird day in the White River Valley. Thanks for the side excursion!
