NOPE. Spent about four hours crawling around the rocks here with crumbcrunchers but never saw a container or any ladders; only boulders, bushes (in my face) and plenty of chutes. We tried to gain entry via the lower waypoint first. We found that waypoint, but did not find a viable way into the rock complex. After a hour and half, we finally found the overlook and what we christened "easter island rock" (hint 2). Once oriented, we seemed to find most of the picture hints with crumbs magic phone, but somehow could not make the find or final two hints. I was very disappointed to spend so much time, get so far, and not even see any indication there was a cache here. Total strike out.
Of the many possible stories to relate, the one I will share is how we were dressed. While I wore "guy clothes" (her words), crumbcrunchers did this one in yoga pants and flip flops. She was totally hard core.

What can I say? I noticed this listing a long time ago, but the planets never aligned in such a manner to get me out here - of course the fire closures didn't help, or at least that's my story. I was fortunate enough to team up with WingsAndTales today to make this one history. And what a day it was - after thrashing through some very thick shrubbery, I was extremely happy to get to the fun part with any blood left. Part of the fun was that this was a real letterbox hybrid, not just a container with a stamp - we made good use of the photo hints and worked our way through the maze. Some surprises, at least one made us laugh (you know what it is) and eventually there we were with the log in hand and knew that we were half finished. An uneventful retracing of steps got us back out, and up an easier way to the overlook. Thanks for setting up this little exercise for us - by the way, perfect cache title!

COpackrat and I headed out for the playground today. Caches like this remind me just how fun this hobby can be. We started out near the overlook and took what we thought was the right route to the entrance. We were a little off but eventually thrashed and scrambled our way to the right spot. The pictures were an excellent guide from there but some of the vegetation has grown a lot in the 6 years since the cache was published. As we got down to the last few photos I started hearing voices. They were definitely not in my head (this time). At first I thought they were echos of us in the rocks but it turned out to be a large group of climbers. This part of the playground usually isn't so crowded. A few of them got into the area where we were but they moved on before we got to the cache. We reversed our route back to the entrance and found an easier way back to the top. Thanks for an adventure we won't soon forget. TFTC

That about sums it up.
Maybe some of the boulders have moved a little, because we found a new entrance not on the pictures.
I have heard about this one over the years and today it is history.
Thanks for a fun hunt!

Wow, that was quite the adventure that Hartsdale and I went on today in search of this cache. We approached the entrance from the bottom which was not the suggested route. After taking many detours we finally found the entrance. The pictures started off being a huge help. Actually, I am not sure how one would find this cache without the pictures in hands. We found all of hints thru the left side of hint 7 and then we stumbled. After a long while we finally found the right side of hint 7 and we were on our way again (it seemed obvious once we spotted it, but we sure couldn't make the connection when we first looked at it). We found the next two hints more easily and then our dilemma. We have to cross that? I was ready to give up but Hartsdale was confident that we were close so onward we went. SUCCESS!!!! I'm not sure how long we were in the rocks but I'm sure is was well over 1.5 hrs. Thanks for the hard one and for us the terrain was greater than a 4!!!
