This is a night cache. Please read the description and attributes carefully.

The westward expansion of the mid 1800's included several wagon trains that crossed through Colorado towards California in search for gold. In early July 1857, Green Russell and Sam Bates found 20 troy ounces of gold in a placer deposit in Little Dry Creek (Englewood). News of this kicked off the Pike's Peak Gold Rush, for which 100,000 gold seekers came into the region over the next few years.

This gold rush brought thousands to the state of Colorado, resulting in a population that helped support the state's infant economic and sociological growth as it was beginning to form into a sovereign state in 1876.

You won't find gold in this park, but not all caches are gold. At the first waypoint a friendly miner placed a cypher that, when decrypted, will reveal the coordinates of the cache you seek. To decipher the encryption you will need to consult the crew of two nearby wagons on the train. However, to prevent from alerting other gold hunters, this will need to be done at night.

Using an ultraviolet light will reveal the first, second and third clues that when used together produce the final coordinates.

Please don't climb on the wagons or open any of their compartments, or move any of their chains or rails. The clues can be easily seen by shining the blacklight down beneath the wagon without touching them.

Fun multi! Teamed up with chihuahuajill to attempt this one. After we got stuck we set it aside for a while. Then she contacted me and let me know she got the next bit figured out. So we met up and I handled the physical labor part for the cache. Sl, thanks!

Fun multi with fun puzzles! We had a little trouble finding the clues until it got dark enough for the TOTT to be effective. Gamma solved the puzzle quickly and we soon had the container in hand. Fave point for sure - thanks to the CO for another quality cache.

What a fun adventure! Met up with claudey for this one and just barely missed first to find, but we had a great time anyway. Each stage is very well done - hope this lasts for a long time! Thanks for placing this cache, gets a favorite point from me!

Kerewin0430 and I headed out tonight to go after this one. Kerewin found the first part after a couple of minutes' search, and we headed off the the wagons. Got stumped for awhile til we got a nudge. :) After finding the first part, the second was easy. Figuring out the cipher wasn't too bad, and soon we were on our way to the final! We were glad it wasn't in a darker part of the park! The cache was soon in hand amd we signed the log. This was a fun one! Thanks for the adventure! Gave it a fav.

CO - FTF
I waited till sunset to drive up to the park again and spotted RPieperCO and WiggleD looking for the second waypoint.

It might have still been to light for the search, so we tried #3 and bingo.

Back to #2 and it still took awhile, what do we do with this?

Hey! Let's try that!

At final I stayed on the ground and RPieperCO made the climb.

What a fun adventure!

Thank you!

Woo Hoo!!! Co-FTF wiht Hartdale and Wiggle D!!! {FTF} My Wife and I were up on this end of town tonight and had a few minutes to spare. I had only intended to see if I could find a clue or two and head home since we had a free babysitter and didn't want to take too much advantage. After finding stage one Danielle and I were looking around stage 2 when Hartdale showed up for effort two. We still came up empty handed and headed to stage 3. After Danielle spotted that one we knew what to look for at stage 2 and Danielle found that one too! Armed with the needed info we pondered several possible solutions when Hartsdale struck on an idea and it played out quickly and we had the final. A short walk later and I was able to spot the final. All 3 of us did our jobs respectively for a true team effort! Signed the log and replaced as found! Fun chatting and a lot of fun working together on this one. Well done on placements and fun multi! Thanks for creating this one!
