The time has come for the Memfis Mafia to trade in the mountains for the beach. We moved here 12 years ago and shortly after we were adopted by the great cachers of Northern Colorado. Since then we have made virtually all of our friends through this wonderful game and it is bittersweet that we have to say goodbye. While we are embarking on a new adventure we are leaving behind so many great friends. In a place where we had no family, geocachers took us under their wings and introduced us to the game that has provided countless memories and hours of fun for our family as they have grown from babies to fully grown cachers themselves. 

 

 

We would love to say goodbye in person to anyone that is able to come by Nordy's Serious Texas which is full circle for us. Our first event was actually at Widow McCoy's but that place is no longer so we came back to our second event. 

For just a bit of extra fun we are bringing the time capsule from a previous event 7 years ago. There are many local cachers who put goals into the time capsule. We will open it and pass the giant container along to someone who wants to "bury" it again. 

Hope to see you all there as we bid farewell to our geocaching home of over a decade.

Thanks for keeping this event open to the public and allowing the riff-raff in. It has been great getting to meet you and talk about Jeeps, challenge caches, WhereIgos, and earthcaches. Have a great time in Florida. Avoid the gaters. Thanks for all the fun!
Today I left Denver and headed up to Thornton to pick up 2lablovers to say goodbye to Memfismafia. They are getting out of town before the law catches up with them :) We found some caches before the event and had a good time. The weather was a little chilly, but that didn't stop us. The BBQ at the event was amazing.

Great event - nice location, our first time here. Food was delicious. Glad to see a large turnout to say goodbye to a fantastic family. We will miss you and hope to cross paths in the future. Best of luck on your new journey.

Sad times for sure to see you all leave and not see you regularly at events. But, your friendships here will stay here and await your return. I know it is not good bye but more see you in July, February and beyond. Our door is always open as you know.
