If you have driven through Frisco on I-70 you have probably seen this wooden structure on Chief Mountain on the North side of the highway. This cache is placed just above it in as safe area where you can take a good look at the 19th century engineering and see some of Colorado's mining history.
Park at the parking coordinates below. Do not attempt to go directly to the cache. Follow the road behind the gate. Follow North Ten Mile Trail to the junction of the ditch. (The coordinates below may be up to 100 ft off but it is pretty obvious. It is about .33 miles). Follow the trail in the ditch until you are about 300-400 feet from the cache and go up the hill to it.

There are great views of Grays and Torreys across Dillon Reservoir, Mt Royal, the Continental Divide and other Peaks.

Before you go up, follow the ditch to the beginning of the Wooden Aqueduct. Look but don't touch.

Before or after finding the cache, you can go further up North Ten Mile Trail and off top the left there are remnants of old wooden water pipes. The pipe is to the left of the trail. The coordinates below are approximate as reception was poor in the trees. You will find the steel bands at approximately this location but if you follow it up further you can find pipe in better condition.

North Ten Mile Trail meets the Gore Range Trail at approximately 3 1/2 miles. You can follow the Gore Range Trail North to the Meadow Creek Trail and take that down to the to the ditch and come back to the East side of the Wooden Aqueduct and back to the North Ten Mile parking lot. This is approximately a 12 mile hike with about 3,000 feet of elevation gain.

Not an easy trail with two small geodogs. Lots of downed trees to climb over or under. Great view at the cache.

Bit spooky. Found 3 old homeless camps? They have moved for now. The cache was ok I found a better container but it still needs some log paper. Great view and climb TFTC

This cache was on our list to do while here in the area. We made our way up and found the other two caches and then headed up to this one. This was a climb for these two flat landers. We made it to GZ and started our search which with the hint went right to the area. Lots of homeless camp debris everywhere. Gave the area a good going over and saw the spot where it was. Looked through the junk and found a small container and found something to write on. Signed and hid back better in the same place. This container will do until a better one is brought up.
