The third and most challenging of the first three SubUrban caches. The same techniques used on SubUrban #2 will probably work for #3 as well but with the added element of water and mud.  The water and mud at #3 is about knee deep and it gets progressively deeper until it is about three feet at the North entrance. If you believe the water marks on the walls the water has been even deeper in the past.

There are lots of life forms in and around this tunnel. Crawdads, Barn Swallows, Minnows, and Spiders were there when I placed the cache. Raccoon tracks were evident in the mud before the water got too deep and I saw a coyote on the flats above the tunnel. Eventually, of course, this will all be buried under SubUrbia.

With respect to the recent drowning of a Geocacher in Prague when a flash flood hit. DO NOT attempt this series if it is raining or there are thunder storms in the area.

These caches will only get more challenging as the area get built up. I did it late in the day when the area was pretty quiet. I have to thank COpackrat for technical advice and assistance. It's always fun learning how to use some new gear. TFTC

COpackrat told the story well! This was a fun afternoon, and we stayed significantly cleaner this time around! Ahhh, preparation is everything, isn't it? I think the heavens opened up when I spotted this cache...I stared at it in disbelief for a second, not believing how large it was and how obvious it was after the diligent searching we had done at #2. So THAT's what we were looking for, haha?! Glad to finally be able to put our names on this one! Thanks for the adventure.

Well, that was interesting... Out with Kerewin0430 today to try to get these two elusive caches. We were out here a week ago, and even a very close examination did not turn up SubUrban #2, so we figured to give it another try today. We stopped there first, and a second examination still didn't reveal a cache, so we continued on to this one. Voila!! Very happy to make a find here, and the size and placement of the container indicated that the cache at Suburban #2 was actually missing. Signed this log (with what looks like braille since we had to peck our names in with a safety pin - of course we forgot a pen!) Thanks for the fun adventure!!

We came, we saw, & we’ll be back with more time & TOTT next time. (And then we will conquer!)

So much fun!
So much mud!
Lost my shoes a couple times!

[FTF] 7:24 pm. I drove up here specifically for this cache. Two special reasons. First, it's FTF number 100. Second, it's find 3,400. It was lightly raining as I drove up here from Denver. Because I was familiar with your other caches, I knew what to expect. I wasn't disappointed! Well worth the terrain rating and a real adventure. More please! After making the grab I was caught in a short lived, but violent hail storm. Pictures included. Tftc!
