DID YOU KNOW???

1. Wolford Mountain Reservoir is a man-made reservoir on the Muddy Creek and is owned and operated by the Colorado River Water Conservation District.

2. In addition to agreements that the towns of Kremmling, Granby and Winter Park have for a more dependable water supply, Denver Water can use up to 40% of Wolford’s water.

3. In addition to storing 66,000 acre feet of water which is equivalent to 2,246,062 large roll-off dumpsters, this reservoir acts as an active recreation site for camping, fishing and boating opportunities.

4. This reservoir is a nesting site for Osprey. During spring and early summer you may see chicks in nests around the reservoir.

Thanks for the hide. I am a reservoir engineer by trade so I enjoyed the interesting facts about this one. Everything was in good condition. Didn't linger too long because we were losing blood fast to the mosquitoes. Took a TB.

Traveling through on a major trip out to Washington and seeing the sights between St. Louis and Seattle. Such amazing places to see! Quick stop here, to grab the Earthcache as well. Had a blast with the prairie dog town.

Found with my mini-vacationing band of FURON clones while celebrating 20 years of entropied chaos. A hooman who worked at the facility waved to me. I waved back with my one good tentacle. He seemed to know what was going on. Thank you for placing this device!
