THIS CACHE IS PLACED WITHIN A FEW FEET OF THE COLORADO-NEW MEXICO STATE LINE.  IN COLORADO ,TO THE NORTH IN THE DISTANCE, IS SIERRA BLANCA OR MT. BLANCA.  MT. BLANCA IS A 14,344 FOOT MOUNTAIN PEAK.  IT IS CONSIDERED ONE OF THE SACRED MOUNTAINS OF THE NAVAJO INDIANS.  THEY CALL IT SISNAAJINI, MEANING DAWN OR WHITE SHELL MOUNTAIN.

IN NEW MEXICO, LOOKING SOUTHWEST, IS UTE MOUNTAIN.  UTE MOUNTAIN IS A CONE-SHAPED FREE STANDING LAVA DOME.  IT IS A VOLCANO BUILT BY COUNTLESS LAVA FLOWS.  UTE MOUNTAIN IS UNUSUAL FOR ITS WONDERFULLY SYMMETRICAL SHAPE.  IT STANDS AT 10,O93 FOOT ELEVATION.  THE UTE INDIANS USE TO COME TO UTE MOUNTAIN AS THEIR SUMMER HUNTING GROUNDS.

Out with B0NE on our epic western adventure. We started the trip in Denver and ended in LA picking up highpoints, counties, favorites, virtuals and Earthcaches along the way.
Climbed WHeeler Peak in the morning and after that headed over to visit Four Corners Monument. We grabbed few here and there along the way. TFTC
