This cache was placed by the Beaver Creek Discovery Camp! Please hide as well as or better than you've found it--this cache has been muggled in the past.
It's along the pathway to one of their favorite places--the Beaver Creek Park, which has a great pavilion for picnic lunches. There are also little turn offs along the creek for waterfront picnics as well.

Parking at Beaver Creek is free for the garages in the summer, and free in the Wolf/Bear/Elk lots in the winter. The closest parking place is the Villa Montane Parking Garage, by the Vilar Performing Arts Center. Please don't leave any food items or delicious smelling things--the area is populated by many animals.

Currently, this cache is not accessible in the winter, but we're working on figuring out a way to make it year round. Please rehide the cache as well as or better than you found it--there have been Muggle Problems in the past. Thanks!

 Hints

***BIG SPOILER!!!!***

Because reception can be spotty between the trees and the large buildings, here are written directions. DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT A REALLY, REALLY BIG CLUE!

From the Ice Skating rink, continue past the galleries to the end of the corridor. You can take the stairs down to the path or the elevators (if you take the elevator you need to exit the parking garage through the sliding glass automatic door and go down the gray hallway). From the bottom of the stairs--also the exit of the parking garage--you'll see a walking path. Make a left, briefly. From the path there's a small trail heading towards the creek. Take the path 8 paces (give or take) and you'll see a tree trunk. The cache is by the tree trunk. Please rehide the cache well--there has been muggle problems in the past.

Revenge! First cache of 2019! We had previously DNFed this one three years ago to the day, but couldn’t come up with it. We started to dig in the snow, but after 15 minutes, we determined we were looking in the wrong spot based on the pictures. It was a quick find after determining the correct location. Signed under Silyngufy, who found this in July and ironically lives very close to us. Greetings from Wisconsin!
