The 3rd stop in Shorty's Short Jaunt series, this one brings along a nice view after a bit of a climb, approximatley 1/2 mile from the road.  We adopted Shorty from EAPL 10 years ago, and figured he was some sort of beagle mix, however we had an expert tell us he's a purebred Entlebucher Mountain Dog, which is the smallest of the four regional breeds that constitute the Sennenhund dog type (Bernese Mountain Dogs). The name Sennenhund refers to people called Senn, herders in the Swiss Alps. Entlebuch is a region in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland. BYOP Happy Hunting!

Went right to this one. Log was damp, so I put it in a small baggie.

I have been wanting to search for this set of caches out here since I saw them to start pop up. Today was the day. I looked for all 14 and found 11. This was the 5th one I looked for and found at 2:46 pm. Thanks for the new caches in a fantastic area all off trail!

Came to this one first after finishing the Ween series. Had to use the hint but my GPS was fairly close. The log was damp but I could still sign it. Did not see any large wildlife on my hike today but plenty of interesting fungi. TFTC!

Fun morning picking up a few geocaches. Thanks! Continuing on the loop. I thought Shorty was a short legged beagle. Now I see he is proabably an Entlebucher!

Found this one fairly easily with evgnhiker as we cashed out this location. Since we had already found a few other placement, the MO and container was easier to find. My GPS was going haywire in this general area so once we were in about 40 feet of the location, we just started looking. Thanks for the hide!
