Access or parking fee  Recommended for kids  Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Available at all times  Available during winter  Parking available  Picnic tables nearby  Stroller accessible  Short hike (less than 1km)

This is our first Geocache that we've hidden. My 10 year old twins have gotten us back into the GCing game. We took a few years off but now we are back.

This is a semi popular area that overlooks the city. So beware of muggles.

We recently saw "Romancing the Stone" which inspired the name for our geocache. The twins placed several items of swag and are really excited to hide their 1st geocache.

Enjoy the adventure and the view!

Like most of the other previous finders I had found the cache here some years ago but had forgotten about it and the nice view from up top. TFTC!

Great spot for a hide! I also remember the previous cache at this location and always thought that it was a fun location. It was a pleasant surprise to see the size of the container! TNLNSL. Thanks for the new cache! Great job!

I live near mile or so from this cash, so as soon as I saw it I knew we needed to go grab it. The kids were game for the hunt.

Found it after the smug FTF crew that was night loitering in the parking lot.

Met some Hamm radio operators at GZ, who were also former geocachers. And I thought I was a nerd, they have it double! :) actually, it would’ve been fun to hang out a little longer if we had time, would love to know more about that little side hobby.

I know there used to be a geocache at this location that went missing some years ago. I’ve always had my ion it for replacing it with a cool one, but have never gotten around to it. This one fits the bill nicely though!

Big family style CO-[FTF] 07/28/2020 at 8:14 pm. So I'm sitting around waiting for a new cache to publish and my phone starts lighting up with notifications. New caches. The first one I see is about 11 miles away, so I start toward it. As I'm driving I see that more have published. Now there is one only .6 miles from my home. That's a better deal. So I made a U turn and headed back. As I neared the park I recognized the area. Wasn't there already a cache here? It must have been archived because there is a new one now. I scaled the wall and saw several people above. Ham radio operators trying to get weather satellite information. Pretty cool! First I met Maperist. Then 2labolovers and Jinxer show up. The find was pretty straight forward, but larger than I expected. AND full of swag and a travelbug. I discovered the TB and everything was returned to the way it should be.
Well done first cache! As always, thanks for the cache!
