Cache is a large pill bottle, beware of little on the trail/driving.

Sell (or Sell's) lake started it's life as an crescent shaped oxbow lake formed when the Arkansas changed course. It was later changed to it's present shape with an island in the center. There were picnic areas around the lake, a dance floor, live music on some evenings and a dock and boats. (d.digger)

We were friends with the family that owned this lake in the 1970s and 1980s. We had several picnics here and paddled around the lake a few times. The lake was originally much larger than it is now. The owner filled part of it in, presumably to make more farm or pasture land. There is a spring up on Park Avenue that feeds the lake. (Room1009)

Thanks for a bit more info on the pond, d.digger and room1009

Really quick find. The lid doesn't fit the container so it might get blown away. Thanks for placing this cache so that I could get the souvenir for Geocaching Day! [8d][8d] SL TFTC

Thank you so much for hiding a new cache here. My partner and I loved finding it.

Nice Pond, wondered about the history of this place. Discovered the trackable. SL. TFTC.

This tree was the site of the first cache I logged on Geocaching.com (TREED, GC2W791). After that one was archived I placed a cache here that was very popular (Following the River, GC539K4). It earned 18 favorite points, but then the parks department bulldozed the area and destroyed the cache. Maybe this third cache will be the charm and it will last.

I signed the log, discovered the travel bug, and added a 1948 penny and a 1952 penny. Thanks for the easy park & grab.

Found the cache even after the batteries died on my GPSr, discovered the traveler, took nothing and left a couple of golf pencils to be forwarded to caches that can use them.

There was also an ice house on the site and in the winter ice was cut from the pond and stored for summer use. (How often have you even seen the pond even skimmed with ice, let along the 8 inches or more needed for blocks?)

Had to be in town for a service call so I made a quick detour. Think I found a Room1009 cache here before. Even though I've been here plenty of times, I never noticed the pond until your cache. If I have, I don't remember it at all. Discovered the TB.

Thanks for the cache, Podcachier. I had planned to take my dog to pathfinder today to walk, but changed my mind when I saw that you had hidden another cache close to a great area for walking. Happy to be the first to find it. Thanks for the history lesson.
