Since this cache didn't have any "tricks" to finding it, naturally I decided I should go get it in the dead of winter! Hey, they opened up the canyon for the holidays so I took advantage. Cache is in great shape. I had intended to continue from this one to the final for #1 Son, but the topo map didn't explain to me that between this cache and that would be rocky cliffs covered in ice and snow. Oh well, just another reason to come back another day!

Found this one today after a half-hour search in an oncoming storm. I finally found it about 20' away from where I'd been searching. Happily, it had a poncho in it, which I took and almost needed, but the storm passed by just north of us and I was only buffeted by high winds and a touch of rain.
This cache may have started out swagless, but it's sure stocked now! Took a couple of things (like the poncho), left a couple of things. Made note of the code, which is the main reason I spent 4 hrs hauling myself and my neighbor up the side of this mountain. I had planned to go farther to the Mull of Crosier, but I forgot my dog's water bottle, so we had to call it quits. Lot of people on the mountain today (Labor Day). Thanks!
Yep. Keep walking.

Visited this old friend on my way to Mull of Crozier. Same approach up from Garden Gate TH, across the meadow, and approach from the saddle. Easier this time having already scouted the route. Cache is in great shape and the view is still spectacular. Thanks for the great cache.

Arrived at this cache after hiking up from Garden Gate TH and hitting Baby Run geocache. Choice of approach route is critical. Nice hide and great view of Crozier Mountain, my last checkpoint of the day. Cache is in great shape. TN Left English penny and dropped off Lord of My Domane Travelingtag 2Cents. TFTC This was the most difficult terrain for a cache so far.

It is in good shape, great view from up here, thanks for giving reason to visit another hill top in the area. TNLN

Bushwhacked from the trail below, scrambled the ridge, found it, scrambled back down. A lot of work for 1 cache! This should count for 10 finds! Not complaining, love these 'geo-hike' caches. Thanks so much for putting this here. Thoroughly enjoyed the ridge and views.

returned to this cache for the amazing view, and to bag a listed cache on the way to the celtic cross! It is still there and all is well!

Fun hike, a lot of snow on the shady side. Slid halfway down on the way back! Beatiful out there this time of year. First cache ever.

Bushwacked it to this cache after going up the Sullivan's Gulch trail. That turned out to be a smart move, as the elevation gains to this cache are much more gradual from the east. (I'm amazed it worked out...typically back home, I always end up on the wrong side of a creek!) Might try some more caches in this area another time, and might try out the trail up from Drake, since that should make the hike go a bit quicker.
Nice view and cache is in great shape! TFTC!
