From the time when kids had to walk uphill both ways in a blizzard to get to school. The Yuma County Historical Society has set out to locate and mark as many old schools as possible

The district was operating in the late 1890's as there was references to it in old Newspapers

It was often reffered to as the Ramsey School

In 1921 it was consolidated to Laird.

We are heading north on a 3 week road trip to Lead, S.D. the first week. We have watched these FTFs for weeks so these are our targeted caches today. If we have time, we will get others along the way. This will be a long day today but hopefully a good day. Thanks for placing these caches for us to enjoy and for our {FTF} addiction!
