Two of my favourite activities are Trail running and Geocaching and I often like to combine the two by picking up a cache while out on a trail run. This Cache is part of a series that I will be creating that combine a Geocache with a favourite running trail in and around Colorado Springs, CO. You don't have to run the trail to get these Caches but bonus points if you do.

This new trail was opened in 2013 and offers a couple of options. This cache is located on the Palmer Divide Ranch trail which is 4.6 miles and fairly moderate. There is also the Lincoln Mountain trail which is 4.1 miles and offers a short limb up the 'mountain' or combine both for about 8.7 miles total.

I needed an easy and short day hike, so I came back to the Lincoln Mountain Open Space. I managed to make the find on this one with no drama, other than the rain and hail! Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find and giving me an excuse to come back to this area. TFTC.

Enjoying a gorgeous Mother's Day weekend here in Colorado. I didn't realize this open space existed until I saw a cluster of caches in this area on the geocaching map. TFTC!

It was funny watching us approach this cache from the switchbacks down the hill.... 90 ft, 150 ft, 101 ft, 120 ft.... had to surf the oaks a little, but we finally spotted it. TNLN
