Park across the road in the wider pull off -- NOT near the structure.

Make sure that your vehicle is completely off of the main road -- cars come from both directions pretty fast. Found this interesting old structure while heading up the canyon. Cache is NOT inside the structure but rather is behind it.

On a day that was projected to be a scorcher, we decided to head to a higher elevation to escape the heat, walk and cache. Golden Gate Canyon State Park was our chosen destination and we thought that getting these caches on the way would be fun. Luckily for us, we were able to make our way up the canyon at a pace that allowed us to stop when we spotted the GZ, no traffic pushing us up the hill. It may have had something to do with it being late morning on a weekday, or it may have had to do with the road work being done. Either way, we enjoyed a relaxing pace up the canyon. We can see how it might be nuts with lots of traffic! We had some discussion over what the pump was used for - do you know? We looked for this cache for about 20 minutes with no luck. That doesn't mean it wasn't there, it may just mean that we were unable to locate it. Thanks Team Teman for placing this cache so that we can play! BTW - the high showing on our weather station was 106 degrees, and Denver hit a record high 105 degrees.
