[FTF] at 6:55 am. Woohoo! I never expected to get an FTF on a 5/5 cache. I almost didn't see the notification last night. I was getting ready for bed and decided to check my messages one more time. Iowagirl22 reminded me that we had an appointment at 9:00 this morning. I promised I would be back in plenty of time, but privately I had some doubts. I'm surprised I didn't stumble on this location while placing my TCSL series. An alternate name for this cache could be "The Fortress." I had to scout around a bit to find a route that didn't involve scaling a cliff or navigating a cactus minefield. Bandit was not thrilled with this location. Once I got close I went straight to the hiding spot, found the container, and saw that the log was blank. I stamped the FTF spot, grabbed the FTF prize, added more swag, discovered the boatload of trackables and added one more.

I've had most of the numbers solved for the final for quite some time, I just never got around to finishing the original version. All the waypoints were in interesting and beautiful areas, many of which I had never visited before. I appreciated all the clearly marked and well groomed trails...NOT!

I was back home at 7:45 and had plenty of time to eat breakfast and get to our 9:00 appointment.
