Amazing view! Had to park the car and trek .3 miles cuz the road was too rocky. Took some time but eventually found it. It’s obvious if you’re at the right tree, if you can’t spot it fairly easy; you’re probably not at the right spot. Happy hunting! TFTC. Left a TB

We were checking out lakes and getting some remaining letterboxes on our drive back from Alamosa. The nearby Mountain Home is almost empty. This was a fun road up. Parked at the base of the radio tower hill and walked up. Great spot for a cache! Awesome views up here. Be sure and look back for a view of the lake too. Nice container. Thanks for bringing us here. Had to stop at Del's for burgers on our way out.

As stated in previous logs, cache is about 100 feet off and on top of the cliff, know that going into it. I’ve attached a few pictures of where my GPS app put me. Previous corrected coords are also good. Found with LolosDream and Aden the Geocaching Hound today. Cache was in great shape. TFTC!!

Out on a county run to south central and southwest Colorado with Aden the Geocaching Hound and Pathfinder33. Working to pick up 6+ new counties and finish out the bottom corner of our county map. Enjoying the beautiful scenery and wonderful geocaches in the area. We SL and very much TFTC.

We left our motel in Alamosa this morning and continued our trek eastward. It was a beautiful day for driving and caching as we cached our way to Oakley, KS. We found quite a few interesting caches along the way and had just one DNF. We hope to be home by Tuesday evening.
It was a little brisk up here this morning, but it gave us a chance to stretch out legs. We decided to park and walk the last quarter of a mile. It took a little looking, but finally spotted the cache. It was well hidden and in good condition. We signed the log and replaced the cache as we found it. It was an impressive view from up here.
Thanks

We read a previous log and determined the best roads to take to get this cache. The roads were fine until about a quarter mile away so we parked and walked the rest of the way. The cache was 100 feet away from the posted coordinates when we found it. Everything is in good shape here. TFTC.

Let me give some help on a safe way to get close to the cache: do not take the 1st turn onto Bildy Rd unless you have some pretty high road clearance. Stay on Ice House Rd to the 2nd right on Simone. A regular car should be able to get to Simone & Leta Kean but from there to the cache (near the antenna) you again need a high clearance vehicle or walk the last 1/2 mile (or ride a horse;-) which would have been my preference.
My GPS took us the other way in our truck with a slide in camper & we couldn't get past some rocks & had to back up at least 1/4 mile before we could get turned around. It was a good 1 1/2 mile hike from there but was good exercise for our dog.
We enjoyed the View & found the cache as others have said over 100' from GZ.
The last signature was from August 2016 too.
