Thought this would be a good place to hide a cache so that people could find out some of the history of the area. You can drive all the way to the Cache if you have a vehicle with some really good grounf clearance and an experienced driver. I have driven a stock 2004 Ford Explorer up but would highly discourage it if you like your running boards and undercarriage. The container is a large tupperware with plenty of room for trading. We have started the cache with a Large Erasier and a travel bug named flight 610 in memory of the passangers of the flight. We also left an unregistered GeoCoin for the first to find. Good luck and enjoy as the road is not open all year unless you like hiking.

Congrats to bob69d for FTF and for giving us the right coordinates!!

Didn't find it 10/25/2017 By icezebra11
I visited this cache twice this week, once on Monday and again today. I was hoping to be able to find this very lonely cache but I came up empty. On Monday I searched the area within about a 50 foot radius of GZ and couldn't find the container. I spent at least an hour looking. After I got home that night I noticed something on the cache page that made me think I actually wasn't searching the right area. So back I went today. Based on this new info that I hadn't noticed before, I was feeling more optimistic about finding the cache. Well, after another 90 minutes of searching I again came up short. I guess this one will get even lonelier!!!

Thanks to bob69d for posting the right coordinates, without those I would have been looking everywhere.... TNSL

FTF at about 14:30. The hardest part was finding GZ. I guess I thought there would be some kind of pile of "rocks" - not a big ole slab! After I got going around that in the right direction...it didn't take long. I took some co-ords that I believe will be much closer....N40 31.897; W105 24.944. This was a fun one, and pretty cool to see, even tho there's not much left of the crash. SL; TFTC.
