Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Thorns  Medium hike (1km-10km)

There was a cache to the west of this location called “High Above Desert Hills”, 2FQ27 placed by cactus-bob on 9/25/2010. I spent a good amount of time trying to find that cache without success. It was recently archived.

That part of the hill has eroded and some parts have caved off or looks unstable in the long term. So I placed the cache in a more stable location. The GPS is unstable because of the terrain, so the difficulty is a bit higher than it would be on the flat.

Surprisingly, there is a lot of foot traffic in the area, I suspect from the residence on the top of the hill. The cache is an obvious location but hidden, hopefully it will go unnoticed by muggles.

Parking is available at N 39 4.734, W 108 39.068. Follow the “road” until the end of the property on the right, then head north past the property to the left. There is a “creek bed” near the fence leading up the hill which will help avoid cactus, ants, stickers, and erosion.

The cache is large enough for some trade items. The view from the top is worth the hike by itself.

Congrats to gkhill for FTF
