The cache is not at the posted coords but they are a good place to park. While hiking last fall I saw something that made me say, “Hmmm, I wonder where that goes?” There's a trail that will get you very close. If you send me the solved coordinates I will send you the coords for the trail to the cache. Use the tale below to find the coordinates before you leave home.

Cachers are crazy. We all know it and those who know us just shake their heads and try to decide whether to laugh or have us committed. We will do just about anything to sign our names on a little piece of paper. I knew this one guy, John (although some people called him Junior), who went by the caching name of Flyboy. He told me a story that proved just how crazy he was:

There was this one cache that I just had to get. I had a shot at being the FTF and there was a Jeep in there, too. The road to the trail head ran along a stream and I watched its tumbling mirth as I drove my eager craft. Unless you have been there the beauty of the road is something you have not dreamed of. Once I got to the trailhead, according to my GPS I had to go east. You should have seen the ridge the trail went up. I finally made it to the top. Like so many times before when sunward I’ve climbed, I had to stop and catch my breath. I watched as the birds (I bet they were buzzards waiting to see if I expired right there) wheeled and soared. I got a picture of the sun-split clouds to post with my log. I’ve done a hundred things but I could tell this would go on my favorites list. The trail kept going up the ridge so I followed it until I topped the wind-swept heights. The view was something you have not dreamed of. My GPS said I was getting close. Of course it had to be up in the rocks and the wind was really starting to blow. I chased the shouting wind along and scrambled up. I should have brought a buddy but none of them could get out of work. Anyway when I got to the top my GPS said ZERO feet. I started moving rocks to look and it felt like I was fighting the bonds of earth. There it was – an ammo can. Was I FTF? I couldn’t wait to find out. I gave a tug on the lid. I tugged again and it didn’t budge. I gave it one more try and finally slipped the surly bonds (on that container). YES!!! FTF!!! RUMBLE!!!! What? Is that thunder this early? It was time to get down off the summit before the storm hit. I got soaked on the way back to the car but that’s better than being fried by lightening. Do you want to discover the Jeep?

Well, that’s how he told it. There is a yellow Jeep for the FTF and a coin copy to discover that is permanently attached to the lid.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

Congratulations to titocache for the FTF

After you admire the view from the top of the rock, go around to the bottom. The cache is between the large rock and a slab leaning on it.

10:33:00 AM We are visiting from Dallas. We are in Divide for a week in one of our favorite places. BigSmile

Wow. Solved this one 18:09 on 8/10/2014. It took longer than it should, but I eventually followed the trail of bread crumbs. Nicely done. Thanks, also, for sending the info about the turn-off onto the side trail. I would have bailed early without it. (But I did also bring our Pikes Peak Atlas.)

Well, I intended to hunt this one back in 2014, but there were so many choices and so little time. So I made it a priority on this trip and we hunted it today. It was a beautiful morning and we really enjoyed the hike. Perfect coords helped us find the cache with no problem. All is in good shape.

I saw that OR85OR450 (part time of Dallas-Ft Worth) found this one last September, so I hoped to sign the log right after him. Instead I signed the log one space farther down below billkat. No big deal. Thanks, WingsAndTales, for placing this cache for me to find. Glad to add a favorite point. Great to see you last night at the event in COS.

Finally made it up there today. Really enjoyed the views. Hiked to the top for a few others and then detoured a bit on the way down to grab this one. Grabbed the TB since its been hanging out long enough. Thanks for the help!!

Well I guess I should make a half-hearted effort at getting my caching act together one'a these days ...

for instance look at the cache description... OR EVEN THE LOG BELOW !!!! BlackEye

After I dnf'd 'Craggs Trailhead' , or whatever that one's name is; I just pointed the gpsr to the solved cord's I had on a note paper. All the bushwhacking later I had gone well beyond " How do you guys find these places??" over and over in my head... and straight to "Why, for krissake? Why". Up until the last 15 feet. Came around the tree and got the "OOooooohhhhh .. !!" moment.
Still in perfect shape; I left a TB that I've carried to lots of pretty places and exited via the easy way to one of the RTP series.+

I was in the area and checked on the cache today. It is in great shape and ready to be found. If you send me the correctly solved coordinates I will send you the coords for the trail to the cache. It gets you very close and will save you the pain of bushwhacking.

We saw something that made us say hmmm wonder where that goes but it sure didn't go to the cache so we bushwhacked. SL TFTP TFTC took TB left something that wasn't a TB and hiked out the trail
