This cache is at the edge of a clearing along the South Fork Trail. This is one of our favorite hikes. It follows the creek along Beaver Ponds, willows and through spruce, pine and aspen forest. We often see Moose on this trail. We have also seen Deer and Elk.

The hike to the cache is an easy 1 3/4 miles. You can continue on for many more and even backpack around Sugarloaf Mountain. You can park at either the Darling Creek/ South Fork trailhead (coordinates below) or the Sugarloaf campground which is slightly closer. We recommend the trailhead because the Boardwalk across South Fork is closed an you have to slog through some wetlands to get to the trail.

The trail is often wet so wear good waterproof boots. Enjoy the hike.

It does exist! However it needs maintenance. Cache is inside a log and under a rock. It's in a Ziploc bag and contains a few trade items with a pirate theme, and no log book. I was able however to sign the bag itself. This was one fun hike in a beautiful area. The old board walk in the nearby park will have to receive a few hides soon. I strongly recommend visiting this cache. Thanks.

There was the prefect stump for hiding a cache near a rock fire pit. But no luck finding it. It's been a few years since it had been found.

Beautiful Hike - we loved the scenery - we couldn't find the cache in any of the stumps though - not sure if it is buried or what.

Beautiful hike up the valley past the beaver ponds. Lots of wildflowers with the wet winter and spring. Found the cache but the can was shot up pretty bad. Was able to sign the log and hide it back so that it won't get too wet. TNLN TFTC.
