Love both locations for this one

The cache was wet and rusted inside but the log was fine in the baggie. We dried it all and put it back as found. Tftc!

I'm glad to be doing this series when it's dry and not hot yet. The first stop on this one was probably my favorite but the final is in a pretty area too. When we got close to GZ I was afraid it would take a while to find but billkat found it pretty quickly. TFTC

I still have a couple of waypoints to find, but I felt a powerful urge to find a cache today. I actually had never been to the area of the first waypoint, so that was a really cool experience. I will be going back there. Smile Today it was nearly a perfect day for the hike to the final. If it had been any warmer I would have worked up a huge sweat. Any cooler and I would have needed a jacket. Initially I looked in the correct area for a bit, then I saw the GPS pointing 20 feet away, so moved to that area and spent quite a while in a fruitless search. I even climbed part ways up the canyon wall (while I was doing that Bandit went for a swim), but then I remembered that this one was a T3. I came back down and worked my way back to the place I started, and BAM, there it was.

I love this area and hike down here once or twice every year. I'll keep doing that as long as I am able. Thanks for an excuse to make this hike again.

Wow, ernie66 looks beat in that photo he posted. This was my favorite 1st stage of everything we did. Fun jeep ride too.

Out with estes01 a few weeks ago to get stage 1 and her Jeep did admirably on the muddy Jeep road. Returned to Canon City today to finish off the series. Both spots were in spectacular areas but of course will only post photo from the stage 1 coordinates. Thanks for another worthy hiking cache in your series! TFTC!
