Driving back to Tennessee from California. Had a great month finding caches in California and a few in Mexico. Going to grab as many counties as I can and weather permits. Thank you for placing this cache for me to find. TFTC SL

Geocaching has changed my life. Thank you Hobo_Hank for placing and maintaining this cache to add to my adventure. Memories being made.

“Fill your life with adventure, not things. Have stories to tell, not things to show”

NOTE:

Like every sport there is special “Terminology” to go along with it. Geocaching is no different. It took me awhile to learn the meaning of many of the abbreviations or shortcut phrases.

If you read old logs to gain some insight then here is a bonus for new Cachers to save you some time learning.

For the benefit of new Cachers, that are not familiar with the abbreviations in geocaching logs. I have included the abbreviations and long-hand version for some more common phrases below:

BYOP- Bring Your Own Pen
TOTT - Tool Of The Trade
DNF - Did Not Find
TFTC - Thanks For The Cache
TFTEC - Thanks For The Earth Cache
SL - Signed Log
TNLN - Took Nothing, Left Nothing
PNG - Park And Grab
CO - Cache Owner
FTF - First to find,
Also write it with the {} around the FTF to get credit.
TB - Trackable

TYPES OF CHALLENGES:

FIZZY - The first Fizzy Challenge was created by Kealia to honor the contributions of FizzyMagic. The challenge involves finding a cache for every possible Difficulty and Terrain (or D/T) combination. There are a total of 81 possible combinations.

JASMER - The Jasmer Challenge requires that you have logged at least one cache that was placed in every month back to the start of Geocaching (May 2000). This challenge takes a fair amount of travel and a lot of perseverance to complete the entire thing.

365/366 DAY CHALLENGE- This requires that you have logged at least one cache everyday of the year. It does not have to be completed in the same year.

GeoArt is a series of geocaches that, when viewed from a cache listing map, forms some sort of artistic outline. Often cache artists use Puzzle (Mystery) caches to create their artwork, but there are some great pieces of GeoArt that are made entirely of Traditional type caches.

Power Trails are a set of consecutive caches along a route that allows cachers to find a large number of caches in a small amount of time and distance.

Needed to come to the area to pick someone up from DIA so took advantage of some nice weather to do some caching beforehand. It was also an opportunity to add to my cemetery finds. A quick PNG after grabbing the nearby cemetery caches. Nice hide. SL. TFTC

Find #48914

Its been a long hot summer in Texas, I've been trying to get out and do a caching trip a couple of times this summer, but it never worked out. Finally managed to get a week off, and am so happy to be out here in Colorado. The weather if perfect, and there is a load of caches that need my name on Smile Thanks so much for the hide Hobo_Hank, I really enjoyed finiding this cache!

T F T C - - - - I’m having a great time in Colorado Geocaching and sight seeing. Staying with a good friend in Centennial. I decide to hit the flat lands for my July 4th adventure. I got a early start to avoid some of the heat.

I appreciate your efforts in placing this cache for our geocaching enjoyment. It is always a great day to be out and about geocaching. Good job! I had a fun time finding it. Once again, TFT$ LTFAHG-Like to Find and Hide Geocaches.
