Recommended for kids  Takes less than an hour  Available at all times  Thorns  Park and Grab

We were caching along this road recently, and enjoyed the openness and seclusion it has to offer. There are little to no muggles out here, which makes it a great place for caching. It is open range for cattle along this road, and in September there were cows all over the place. These caches are on Jefferson County Open Space, so please be considerate of the land. I hope you have as much fun finding these caches as we did hiding them. All of the caches in this series are decent sized. Bring your own pen for these caches. Please park on the road and walk to the caches, as it is prohibited to drive off the road here.

Please let me know if this cache needs any maintaining, such as the log needing replacing, if the cache container is in bad condition, or if you can't find this cache. If you cannot find this cache, DO NOT leave a replacement. I prefer to maintain my caches myself. Hope you find it, and happy caching!

Cachemeoutside66 and I were on our quest to finish getting what we started a month ago. As were hiking to some of the others we were able to hear an elk bugling. As we started towards this cache we could finally see close to 40 head of elk down in the bottom of the draw. We counted at least 7 bulls and after getting the cache we hiked a little closer. We then saw 2 bulls that were fighting it out and we could hear the clacking of the antlers. It was awesome. Thanks to jacobboulder for placing this and all the other caches.

Came across a large herd of elk and watched the bulls fight (from a safe distance). Amazing experience w/ Pathlighter!

Went for a very nice long walk today, in and around a most pleasant Jefferson county open space - this was the fifteenth stop on a park-once-find-thirty excursion. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

My last find of the day. Feels really nice to walk out this far, not a soul to be seen. Wildflowers are amazing. Couldn't sign this one either as overturning a rock revealed a wasp nest.

Saved the longest walk for last. No one around but cattle off in the distance. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache and a very enjoyable series!

I left my gpsr in my pocket thinking I would use my "geosense" to make the find considering there weren't that many likely hiding spots. Well that didn't work too wel,l and I walked a couple hundred feet beyond the cache. I recommend going on a bit after logging to see the pond, don't know what might be taking a drink there. In my case, the cattle were all resting on a hillside to the north.
