Greetings I'm Heartland Cacher, one of the volunteer reviewers for caches submitted to Geocaching.com.
We are doing a check of caches that have been disabled for an extended period. Please maintain this cache and post an appropriate note to the cache page.
As stated in the cache listing guidelines https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance Disable a cache page when the cache is not available or you need time to fix reported problems. A cache page can stay disabled for a reasonable amount of time - generally up to four weeks.
PLEASE NOTE:
Today's notice is a friendly reminder only. Do not reply to me directly. Rather, please go to "Log geocache" (upper right hand of the cache page) and choose "WRITE A NOTE" from the drop down menu. Please do not use the "OWNER MAINTENANCE" log until you do the maintenance and the cache is ready to be found again with a status update and any intention to revive the cache. Several reviewers participate in cache maintenance tasks so a log posted in this manner is the best way to get your message seen. Without a log posted you risk having the cache archived.
If you have disabled this cache for the winter or a season, please consider this a reminder to post a notice for when you expect the area to re-open. Re-activate the cache if the area is actually open again.
After you have checked on it and it's ready for seeking again, great! You can re-enable the cache page http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 by clicking the link under the cache name or by checking the box that says the cache is active. If, however, you discover that the cache is missing and/or you decide not to replace it, then please remove any remaining pieces of it and archive it. This will open up the area for other geocachers to hide their own geocaches. You may also need to digitally relocate any trackable items still listed here. If a "Needs Maintenance" log was posted, you will also need to log an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" icon from the geocache page. http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and I am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future. If the cache is not maintained or the status is not updated, it will be archived. Thank you for understanding.
If this sounds like an automated email template, that's because it is. I apologize for that but the volume of messages we get is such that templates like this make the process much more efficient. Thanks for your understanding.
I look forward to hearing from you. Do not reply to this email. It is sent by a no-reply mailbot so I won't get it. To respond, please do NOT send me an e-mail or a message center conversation as they lack needed functionality for reviewing. Leave a new "Reviewer Note" log here on your cache page. If you're not familiar with this process, see the instructions https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=97&pgid=74. I have your cache on my watchlist, and I will receive a notification when you write your note. All reviewer notes are deleted when your cache is published.
"If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance *it will not be unarchived."*
Additionally, please note that if I've not heard from you in 4 weeks, I may be forced to archive this cache. Don't let your cache get archived for non-communication

The CCLP did invade the Southwest!! The entire crew set off for a 16 day/5000+ mile odyssey through 10 states that was entirely planned from cache to cache! Over 450 prime offerings were targeted, with one day alone having over 8200 favorite points!! When the smoke had cleared and the car aired out, we had gone 285/296, snagged over 50 TBs and geocoins(the Riches of the Southwest), found 3 path tags and earned one more, sprinkled a couple dozen limited edition, totally awesome and extremely rare CCLP path tags for the finders along our outrageous route, and finished our fizzy grid for the first time!!
Highlights:
-10 National Parks( Hot Springs, Carlsbad, Saguaro East and West, Grand Canyon North Rim, Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches)/ and 7 National Monuments( White Sands, Montezuma's Castle, Sunset Crater, Wupatki, Navajo, Horseshoe Bend, and Cedar Breaks)/ and spending the 4th of July on 2 Indian reservations, Hopi and Navajo. They don't celebrate it like we do!
-Several incredible hikes to or through unbelievable places: The Narrows at Zion, Corona Arch trail in Moab, Little Horse slot canyon trail near Goblin Valley state park, Delicate Arch trail at Arches, North Mill Creek swimming hole in Moab, and the Grand Vista in Canyonlands.
-Wildlife: mocking crows and humongous ravens/ a coyote in silhouette dragging a roadkill off an early morning NM road/ big old jackrabbits/ road runners/ two different hawks nail rodents and fly away/ a plethora of lizards/ so many bugs unique to us, highlighted by the neon gold beetle we saw in Boulder/ deer/ prairie dogs/ antelope/ and four Bighorn sheep that gave us a show at Zion as we left the park to the East.
-Food: FatBottom Girls Cupcakes in Hot Springs/Mesquite Steaks at The Cowboy Smokehouse Grill in Panguitch, UT/Capitol Burger food truck in Torrey, Utah/ Sweet Cow ice cream, The Buff, and the Diner Drive-in and Dive famous The Sink in Boulder, CO./ and way too many burgers and otherwise mundane meals.
-Entertainment: Kartchner Caverns/ a spectacular full double rainbow near Carlsbad, NM/ the incredibly fun melodrama at the Gaslight Theatre, Funny Foot farm petting zoo, and the Spanish mission at San Xavier del Bec in Tucson, AZ/ Buckstaff Bathhouse spa treatment in Hot Springs, AR/ Pistachioland in Alamogordo,NM/ the Big stuff in Casey, IL/ Old Mesilla City in NM/ the terribly awesome birding and caching spectacle of Papago Park in Phoenix, AZ/ sunrise at Coal Canyon near Tuba City, NM/ Mexican Hat, the exciting dirt road through Valley of the Gods and the entrenched meandering river in Goosenecks State Park, UT/ sleeping in a Navajo Hogan in Monument Valley/ camping on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and the memorable Cape Royal road and hot dog picnic we enjoyed there/ Red Cliffs road from Moab to I-70 and the incredibly cool Rock House cache/ NCAR museum tour, the Pearl Street mall and celestial Seasonings factory tour with Mint room in Boulder, CO with dear Uncle Spruce.
We return enriched and refreshed in that very special way that only travel, adventure and long durations of shared time can provide; eager to distribute the Riches of the Southwest to the cachers of the southern Ohio-Indiana borderlands and begin preparing for the CCLP Leaf-A-Lympics event cache this Fall!
The CCLP left Boulder and Uncle Spruce's house at 4 in the morning and hit this one up in the dark. Saw enough to know that this a favorite of ours. So sorry to see that the statue has been removed.

Out caching with FeartheFish. After you had to endure reading his log I will keep this short. TFTC!

I "had" to find this cache for multiple reasons. Since I know you are incredibly curious as to why, here is my list of reasons:
Because it's a geocache.
Because it gets me one find closer to my next Hidden Creature souvenir (I hope that it is a Snuffaluffagus).
Because once I find this puzzle cache I will be at 999 ppuzzle caches found and I cannot wait to get to one thousand and finally satisfy the requirements for the Uber Mystery challenge.
Because I am an idiot and I signed a challenge several months ago that requires me to find a puzzle cache on each calendar day of the year. I have yet to find a mystery cache on the tenth of July and do not want to wait until next year to finish this challenge. Once I sign the log I will be at fifty-six days left.
Because this cache has over two hundred favorite points, and I had to see what the excitement was all about.
I had no trouble talking herndonrd into joining me on this quest, and together we did what was necessary to arrive at the right combination. After a little bit of encouragement the lock opened for us. Hooray!
After we did the whole sign and replace thing we celebrated our victory by heading back to the car and driving off. Thanks for the fun puzzle hide and for getting me outside on such a beautiful day.
P. S. No animals (humans or otherwise) were harmed in the writing of this log.
