In trying to clean up unfinished series I realized I've never signed this one for the final. Not sure how this got over looked but on a 95 degree day I signed a cache for streaking in January. Definitely nothing like Colorado January today! Tftc!

Hi- after the long walking day over at BLM's Oil Well Flats area I made another first visit here at the reservoir. Thank heavens I was able to find tracks & trails to get fairly close to 'January' (this area is quite the 4X4 mudder's playground in season, eh?) ...it's the one of the three I qualify for. They're all in fine condition and I'll log the other two months later this fall once I've "cleaned up" the missing 5 dates

Came down for the apple festival, stayed for the caches! Had my 2 wheeled cachemobile in my 4 wheeled cachemobile, which made the terrain out here a little more manageable. Thanks for placing this one! Hope to change this to a found log in a few months!

We are almost done with the Month Challenge Series. Only the month of February is left to do. We sure enjoy working towards the final. This cache was a bit difficult to get to. We looked at prior logs and marked the location of our vehicle before we hiked to the cache. Good thing, too. It would have been quite easy to get lost in this area. Sadly we saw a dead calf on our way. Big loss for the owner. At GZ it took us quite some time before we finally located the container. Nice hiding spot. We left a TB for the next cacher to pick up and move along. Thanks for another beautiful cache.

I parked just across the fence and cattle guard on the North end of the lake and hiked in. My little Nisan couldn't have made it any farther. I thought I had the route in my head but still took the wrong road and ended up doing a lot of up and down cross country. Still the hike was easy and there were lots of wildflowers to look at. Signed the log and got the codes for the final. My stats are on my public page. Signed the log, dropped a fossil tooth and pencil...no one should hike this far and not be able to sign the log.
