cat·a·mount
/'kad??mount/
noun
1. a medium-sized or large wild cat, especially a cougar.
2. short for 'catamountain' or 'cat of the mountain'
While I haven't personally seen any catamounts in my visits to this area, I don't doubt that they would visit the area. This area is better known for camping and river access, though, with picnic tables, a couple campsites, and a boat ramp at the far end of the site. Parking is available near this cache, but space may not be available on nicer days.
I personally recommend taking some pictures of the cliffs in the area, as well as the river. I've gotten some nice photos in the area myself.
This is NOT a park and grab cache. Hiking isn't required but sturdy footwear is encouraged. You may need to bring your own writing utensil. Cache is not located in the culvert, please do not climb into it.
