I know what you're going to think when you get near this one - "Oh, no, not a rock pile cache!" I've tried to keep the unpleasantness out of it, though.
Yes, there is a rock pile here, but there is no need to climb around on it or put your hands anywhere funky where you could get viperized. Watch where you step as there is high grass nearby and some loose boulders, but it is not necessary to jump around on the rocks. Cache should be in plain sight.

Please be sure to replace the cache precisely the way you found it.

The closest parking is available at approximately N 39.33.986 W 105.02.477 - turn off Platte Canyon at the sign for South Platte Reservoir at N 39.34.327 W 105.03.364 and follow the road to its end.

We definitely found it, we just aren’t going to get it as there seems to be a wasp living in the hole.

Clever hide, however there was a wasp nest inside. Not bad given the time of year and the temperatures, however it should be tended too.

We spent a long time looking on the wrong side of the hill for some reason. Once we started trusting our devices, we found the very cache. Extremely creative! TFTC!!!!

Climbed to the top of the rock pile before reading the cache description :-)

Woo hoo! We looked for this two years ago and came up short. It was fun to go back and get it this time. The kids like this location for the way it supports their imaginative play. Thanks!
