Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Not Available during winter  Dangerous Animals  Parking available  Public restrooms nearby  Thorns

This cache is hidden in one of those Denver Mountain Parks that has a name unlike the one where Trail Mix #13 is hidden. This area is part of Corwina Park.  I did a bit of googling to find who or what Corwina was but didn't find anything - I am guessing that it was someone's name. This cache is part of a second set of caches in this series which are all along trails or in open space areas west and southwest of Denver.

To get to the cache I recommend using the waypoints I provided. It is a true mix of trails: paved, dirt, old road and off. It is not really that long of a hike to get to this cache.

On the inside of the lid of you will find a name of an animal that you should make note of because it will be important for solving the puzzle in a later cache in the series.

Beware of rattlesnakes in snake season!

Oh, and bring your own pen.

There is a lot of cacti up here so you might want to leave your dog behind.

Additional Waypoints

P06Y30R - Waypoint 1: Parking
N 39° 39.874 W 105° 16.725
This is where you can park. Head up the "Old Road Trail" from here.
R06Y30R - Waypoint 2: Turn Left
N 39° 39.900 W 105° 16.763
There are two trails that head up the hill here from the Old Road Trail. The one on the right is steeper and shorter. The one on the left is longer but less steep. I recommend the longer one on the left.
R16Y30R - Waypoint 3: Turn Right
N 39° 39.897 W 105° 16.832
This waypoint is at the top of the hill from the previous waypoint assuming you take the slightly longer and less steep trail at waypoint 2.
W46Y30R - Waypoint 4: Head up the hill
N 39° 39.915 W 105° 16.828
From here, head up the hill staying on the "trail" as long as you can. You will need to venture off trail after a little ways.

Nice hike up above the old road. Would be interesting to trace the old road all the way down the canyon some time. Crossed it in the riverbed down by Cowboys TB Cave. Hard to see how it went from point A to point B.
