The cache is ... well, not your usual container.

Congratulations to mtnbirders for being FTF.

DURING THE WARM SEASON, PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR SNAKES.
Driving along a rural road in southern Colorado, we did not expect to suddenly see a tipi nestled among trees at the edge of a big field. We were so intrigued, that we just had to make this a cache site to bring other cachers here.
I did not find any other information about this particular tipi, but learned a bit more about tipis in general. According to Wikipedia, tipi (also correct are tepee or teepee) is an Indian name (Lakota tribe) for a cone-shaped tent made out of animal hides and wooden poles. It was used primarily by Great Plains Native Americans when hunting, since the structure could easily be assembled or disassembled. The tipi provided year-round comfort, warmth in winter, cooling in summer, and dry shelter from heavy rains. The word in the Lakota language means dwelling.

Taking a break from the road. Heading back to denver after a short visit to abq. We love the type of caches that are a bit off the beaten track. We didnt see a teepee. We dried out the log and signed. TFTFUN SL

Edit: We saw the frame of the Tee Pee as we were driving off.

Cool hide, love the container. Tiny log is soaked. A new one could probably be left in a zip lock if anyone happens to have one. Thank you for this cache!

Needed a cache find for Sept 26 and needed to do maintenance on some of my caches, so I headed out this way to accomplish both activities. I didn't see any sign of the tipi, but found the cache without any trouble. Don't know why I hadn't ever come out his road before. Thanks for hiding this cache.
