Congrats to Memphis Mafia for FTF!

This is a continuation of Special Ks KC Natural Area, which is also the best place to park. Again, placed to explore more and tons of tradables for the kids!!!

If you take the path east, there’s a small area of rocks at the start. There are Killdeer that nest there so please stay on the path. For those of you that don’t know what that is, don’t let the name scare you. It’s a small bird that nests on the ground. If you see one lying down like it’s hurt, it’s a parent trying to distract you from a nest. When close to the cache, look for a cluster of trees that has debris wrapped around it. That is leftover from the 2013 flood. Can you imagine the water level was that high? You can also see some wrapped wires up in the canopy on the south part of the trail.

My wife found this way to fast. The previous logs are confusing so and talked about replacement the cache, ammo containers, etc. I hope I found the right thing.

I’m the CO. I just took a stroll down the bike path which is on the other side of the river near this cache. It’s not unusual (I see it every year)but I did want to mention they had the “bear signs” attached to the “bike path” sign. This sign is around 400ft from this cache, again on the other side of the river. It basically is letting us know to be aware and what to do if you are approached by a bear. I felt since I have a cache near the sign, I should at least post a note.
