Approximately 1 mile off Hwy 40, but you can see the location where the cache is hidden from Hwy 40. Nice RR stop if you are traveling. Easy manuever for pickups etc (but not for cars) to drive right to it but it's an easy walk to the cache.
Year and eons ago, there was a bar/dance hall which eventually burned to the ground as the story goes. If you look at the one and only lonely tree beside the road where you turn, you will see a cement slab which is all that is left of the wild and wooly bar. Country Road 85 where you will turn is well graveled, but you wouldn't want to venture much further past the cache site if it is raining or snowing. I drove on through this road (which comes out eventually in Sunbeam) and the only part of my truck you could see was the two peepholes on the windshield where I had to use my wipers.

After you turn onto 85, you will note some cute little cabins off to your left. No, this is not a little suburb, but rather a hunting camp. Great hunting and adventures abound in this corner of the world. . . . make sure to have your camera ready as it is possible to see elk, deer and antelope. Springtime is dressed up with various and numerous beautiful wildflowers. Near where the cache is hidden, I observed Indian Paintbrush, Primrose, and all kinds of flowers. The cactus are just ready to open as of this date.

This cache is a green drinking bottle with orange lid. Has a Geocache label on the outside of the bottle. Inside you will find a Geocache site letter, Log-in with a pencil, a long yellow keychain, a slimline magnifier and a TY Baby Beanie Iggy Lizard in the package. There is a Geico Travel Bug - Please make sure to send him on his way towards any geocache you like as long as he travels and has fun.

If you take something, PLEASE leave something. "LETS SPREAD THE WORD" . . . You can go to any dollar store and find all kinds of nice things for $1. It isn't very fun to get to a wonderful cache . . . open it up and find junk or hardly anything.

Thank you so much for posting about my cache - I am very tickled to know it is still in great shape. I haven't been able to get out and check all my geocaches and I fear a couple of them are missing but I need to get them checked out. I do so appreciate your remarks and hope you have many long happy trails in your geocaching adventures! Kat
