Crested Butte Trailhead Series

Welcome to the Crested Butte Trailhead series of caches.  There are wonderful hiking and mountain biking trails here in the Gunnison Valley.  For our hikers and bikers alike, I designed this series for cachers to log some finds before hitting the trails.  The caches are near the trailheads, so no hiking or biking required.  However, that does not make them park and grabs.

Swampy Pass

The trail head is located off Ohio Creek Road (County Rd 730). The trail climbs gradually through aspen and pine overlooking the scenic Ohio Valley and the Castles. This trail is 8 miles one way.

Original contents are a yoyo, a small stuffed Goofy, carabiner with plastic drink ring, Pyrat Rum metal token, and a pencil

Second find for the day. Signal jumped all over but was easy find for kids. Very wet inside. Dried it out before replacing.
