My uncle made this amazing article that this puzzle is based on called "Fire and Faith" on "History Today". You might not need the article to figure out most of the answers, but please read it, it's really good.

Yay!!! {FTF} 11:45 a.m. Had just finished up with our Friday chores and saw this new Mystery cache had published and was right in the neighborhood. Got to work on the puzzle, not only interesting but terribly sad . Got the OK from the checker and made our way out. Made the find, SL and returned to where found. Excited we got an August FTF.
