Our family is on vacation in Colorado Springs. Since my biological clock is on another time zone, I'm up very early in the morning. While my family was sleeping in the hotel, I decided to visit Memorial Park.

What an incredible and impressive memorial dedicated to our men and women. I was surprised as how many were around this area. No one else was around in the early morning hours, so I had the place to myself to ponder their sacrifice. Thanks for this VC.

Our second big trip this year. This time more mid country hunting for the oldest caches in the states. Our trip started in Kansas City, MO and continued through Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, the most NW corner of Texas, New Mexico to culminate in Colorado. It rained all day first three days but that did not stop us to accomplish our goals and some. Colorado Springs welcomed us with the snow and below freezing temperatures. But the hunt must go on... Maggie :) and I enjoyed this beautiful country, the scenery, the animals, the food and friendly people.

We’ve been traveling all day through the state of Kansas. I was excited to finally arrive in Colorado so I could color in the county that holds Colorado Springs. This Virtual was just down the street from our hotel and I knew it would have good parking. I made my way over here and was so impressed with its beauty. This deserves a Favorite Point and I love the virtual caches. Hope I counted correctly.

On a Fall trip through Colorado doing some caching and seeing the sites. A beautiful scenic drive through Rocky Mountain National Park. Visiting the downtown areas of Boulder, Denver, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs to name a few. We enjoyed a beautiful hike on the Barr trail at the Summit of Pikes Peak. It was a wonderful trip with quite a bit of caching thrown in along the way. Amazing amount of markers and history in this park. Thanks for bringing us here.

I decided to take a drive from Dallas to Denver and pick up as many counties as possible along the way. Had to walk in due to some event but made the find.

After a busy day in Colorado Springs and visiting the nearby USOC Training Center, we stopped by the park for some virtual caches. We happened to hit right on the hour, and the bells started ringing, and hymns started playing. Storms coming over the mountains made a nice backdrop against the lake.
