Park at the Round Mountain trail head near the coordinates. Be
prepared for a round trip hike of about 1.25 miles or more and some
steep loose rocks. Please leave the stamp and ink in the cache, and
take care to reseal it in the bags. Bring a book to collect this
unique letterbox stamp image. It wasn't hand carved, but it is one
of a kind and very unique.
Denali41is a dedicated educator in the arts of land navigation.
A very useful skill in the mountains and especially for geocachers.
A neccessary skill for finding some of Denali's
caches
or
Tahosa's Colorado
caches
that Denali is taking care of.
This cache is placed in honor of Denali and his contributions to
geocaching. We love the Colorado mountains and appreciate the
"reasons" to get out and explore them. Thank you Denali and all of
you who have the mountain man spirit. And a very special thank you
to Tahosa for the exceptional caches he has put together.
I will give you a few options on how to find this cache. The first
would be to complete
GC6956 GEO-TOURING Rocky Mtn. High or
GC516B GEOTEERING - Rocky Mtn. High With Denalli41 Please ask
politely it is entirely up to him.
Another way is to start at the first
UTM and go straight past the
image That is (the last number of the north coordinates of
GCA66E #25 - Trails End). There you will find a huge nasty
looking area. What is the one kind place to put a cache?
The fail safe way to find this cache though is to simply use math.
You will need to find the correct numbers for your calculations.
The
Chef has prepared a special Salad. Average the salad north and
west.
Subtract the Seconds of the UTM 6 to find North.
The
Desert final has a pattern in the last 2 digits of coordinates,
what is the next logical number in that sequence? Add that number
to the west salad seconds.
