Enjoyed a nice hike with RPieperco. Marauder Jude was dashing ahead to get the best of the raspberries. Button was enjoying collecting what she could. I was bringing up the rear with my son who has been visit family in flat lands for a couple months and definitely rusty on hiking mountains. We all made it and enjoyed the victory at the top. Perfect ending for a grand hike! Beautiful views and a smiley for a puzzle that has been on the solved list for too long. Sl, thanks!

Thanks for the cache! Was out this way to do a little hike up Signal Butte and to grab a few caches along the way with CrumbCrunchers and all the kiddo's. We had a blast on the back roads! I don't know how long it's been since having coords or solving the puzzle. For some reason never thought I'd get up this way. Today we finally made it! Kids had fun climbing the butte and we found raspberries along the way. Yum! At the top there was an abundance of flies that were rather annoying but we managed to track this one down. Signed log and replaced as found. Snapped a bunch of pictures and headed down. Thanks for this fun adventure!

Looks like all the links to the photos have broken so here are some Google Earth screenshots for your use. They aren't exact matches to the originals but they should be sufficient to solve the puzzle. Unlike the originals there are no Ducatis in these photos but that shouldn't hold you back! The license plate for Ducati #2 is DOT497 and the license plate for Ducati #4 is DOT362. Good luck!

After icezebra11 and I found this wonderfully located cache and completed our great 2-day trip to the area west of Colorado Springs we returned to NoCo. Denali50 and I then immediately left on a 1-month trip to the southeastern US, followed by several surgeries to recondition my body for future outdoor adventures. icezebra11 has written a fine description of our find on the cache, so I won't repeat his prose. I need to acknowledge that he did all the heavy lifting on the puzzle, and he graciously paired with me as we hiked to the cache location and eventually found the misplaced cache container--and what a superb location it is!! Thanks, Duc996, for a fine experience.

My friend Denali41 and I completed a fun two day roadtrip to the Woodland Park, Cripple Creek, and Gold Camp Rd areas focused on finding a lot of really wonderful challenge caches and we also scored some other great caches along the way.

This was a top priority cache for me on this trip as this is a cache that meets the date placed restriction for the original California Fizzy and is a D/T that I still needed. I did get some help from WingsAndTales (thanks Karen!) on the first photo. It turns out all of the structures in the photo have been torn down and replaced by new construction. Not being from the Springs area, I could not come up with the right location on my own. I've attached a Google Earth screenshot to use in place of Photo #1. (Sorry I don't have a Ducati in it. Smile )

When Denali41 and I reached GZ we searched the area thoroughly but couldn't find a container. We had noticed an orange matchstick container in the summit cairn along with another summit log container so we decided to check it out. Well, it turns out it was the replacement container that WingsAndTales and Estes01 had placed back in 2012 when they logged this cache. Many people have since signed the log and it is so full of names I had to find an open spot in the middle of the log to sign our names. We added some blank paper in the container and placed it back at GZ, being sure to hide it well with a good cover of stones.

Thanks Duc996 for this great (and particularly special to me) puzzle cache. The views from the cache site are stunning in all directions!!!

Clever puzzle! I had to get help solving it and again finding it. WingsAndTales and I searched carefully, knowing exactly what we were looking for, but no luck. We immediately found a Folger's coffee container, right at GZ, but that was just the summit log. We debated as to whether we should put down another container and agreed that at least one of us would get back in the summer to look one more time. Incredible views up there and well worth doing again. Thank you.

Estes01 and made it out to the final for this one today. We looked and looked all over GZ and the surrounding area. There was some snow but it didn't seem like enough to obscure any likely spots. We were able to get a message to a previous finder for more info on the container and the hide. Armed with a better idea what to look for we scoured the area again and again. I think we were there for over an hour and a half. We gave up and left a matchstick container as a replacement cache. We plan to get out there next summer to check again but I'm confident we did a thorough search. I'm going to log it as a find but if the owner objects I'll change it.
