Beautiful day for caching in Red Rock Canyon Open Space. From reading the recent logs we weren't too sure about going after this one, but we were nearby so decided to give it a try. We found the tree trunk, rock, and yellow golf ball (sans rope), but we didn't find RPieperCO's replacement log. So we pulled out a replacement container and log, placed it next to the golf ball, and used some natural camo to keep it in place and protect it from the elements. Thanks for the cache.

Well I did not find the log and I don't think I found the exact rock that was pictured several logs ago although I found one that was similar. But I did find the yellow golf ball in the bit of rope. And I did find the tree trunk in the recent picture. At the north base of the tree trunk is a rock and a small indention so I left the golf ball in the rope there. I feel good that I at least found the golf ball in the rope. but the cache still needs a container and a log and replaced in the proper place. My phone GPS actually kept pointing to a different tree just a tiny bit down the hill with three big branches growing out of the base but the tree trunk with the rock and the hole seemed like a good place for the golf ball to stay and roll away. I came up the Intenmen Trail the first time so it didn't seem too bad of a trek up for me.

I found RPiepers replacement log but did not have a replacement container because I had used it at a previous cache. Tough hike up here.

Thanks for the cache! Today I had to report to Jury Duty downtown. After a few hours I was finally dismissed. Leaving me with the rest of the day off what to do? Why caching of course! I decided I would make my way around the area up by the campground and nab a few Jasmer dates that I need. I skipped this one on my way by thinking that looked like a bit more than I was willing to try. On the way back by I just couldn't resist that 480' on my phone. Up I went. Up.... Up... Whoa! I circled the GZ for awhile and finally looked over the logs and saw it was replaced. I checked the picture and found the exact rock. I dug under and around and looked up and down the slope and couldn't find it. I did have a log and plastic bag but no container. Next finder will want to bring something along. Look for the rock pictured. There are two rocks tucked under it with a Log sheet in a pill baggie.
