How Well Rounded Are You?
This is your chance to prove it. The cache is at the posted coordinates but you must complete the challenge in order to log it.
Being a well rounded cacher used to simply mean having completed a "Fizzy" challenge. They require at least one find of each of the 81 possible difficulty and terrain combinations. In recent years as the number of both caches and cachers have grown the meaning has evolved. Many different types of challenge caches have been created to help keep the game interesting. To claim this cache you will need to complete 6 out of 7 popular types of challenges. I had completed all 7 of the choices before hiding the cache.
Complete 6 of the 7 choices below
1. Fizzy Challenge - Find at least one of each of the 81 possible difficulty and terrain combinations. Remember that D/T ratings occasionally change. You must have all 81 D/T combos at the time you log a find for this cache. Qualifying in the past and logging a Fizzy challenge don't count.
2. Jasmer Challenge - Find at least one cache that was hidden in each month since geocaching started in May 2000. Your Jasmer grid must be full through the current month at the time you log this cache. Even if you logged a Jasmer challenge in the past you will need to have finds for the months since then.
3. 365 Found Date Challenge - Find at least one cache on each calendar date. A cache found on a particular date(March 1st for example) in any year covers that date. February 29 is not included in this challenge.
4. 365 Placed Date Challenge - Find at least one cache that was placed on each calendar date. A cache placed on a particular date October 10th for example) in any year covers that date. February 29 is not included in this challenge.
5. Alphabet Challenge - Find caches with names that begin with the 26 letters of the alphabet. Special characters at the beginning of the name are ignored and the first letter or number appearing in the name is used.
6. Containers in a Day Challenge - Find at least one of each container size on a single day. The sizes are Micro, Small, Regular, Large, Other and Not Chosen.
7. Cache Types in a Day Challenge - Find at least six different cache types in a day. Events and Locationless caches do not count. Any of the other 11 types of caches may be used.
Finding a way to check your qualifications and displaying them for verification is also another aspect of becoming a well rounded cacher. I will accept any method that allows me to see that you qualify for the find. Choices 1 and 3 are available on your stats provided by Geocaching.com. You can view your qualifications for the other choices by using MyGeocachingProfile.com or GSAK. I will include screen shots of my qualifications as an example.
The cache is rated 5/5 due to the nature of the challenge. The terrain rating for the actual cache is a 3.5. There are numerous routes to the cache but I listed the coords for where we started up the hill. There is also an old road that goes close to the cache. I didn't drive it so I'm not sure of its condition. Use the spoiler photo to help with your search.
