Another day, another snowshoe hike - a bit more snow on this one, but nowhere near enough to require any special equipment - had a bit of a soggy stream crossing, but otherwise no troubles. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Both the phone and the GPSr said that the cache was 65 feet on the other side of the creek. The water was too high and flowing too fast to attempt crossing to the other side. Will have to try again in a drought year.

Finally got to it to log my caches I found during my vacation in Colorado this year. Found the cache after short search while in the area to climb my first 14er - Torreys Peak. TFTC

Today was a good day to do a Grizzly Gulch snowshoe hike--and extra bonus for us--this cache! And we were second to find! Conditions on the trail were less than perfect both for snowshoe hiking and skiing, as the day was warmer than expected and the corn snow was poor--but it was lovely to have the sunlight and warmish temperatures too. We met the skier who had broken the trail ahead of us--and he said that it was tough going for him too. So today we went as far as the cache and used that as our turning around point. Happily it was visible once we started our search. For those of us that are interested in altitude, the cache is at approximately 3,210 meters. It is a very pretty cache--decorated bottle--and I put in a little toy. Thanks again for this one (which prompted our choice of snowshoe hike for the day). I will give it a favorite vote for we have to reward caches that bring us out on beautiful days to do snowshoe hikes.

We seem to have a tradition going of getting an FTF on our annual Colorado ski trip so about a month ago I began scouting the area for possible matches and this one caught my eye. I put a watch on it and held my breath. As luck would have it there aren't many FTF hounds willing to make a 4+ mile round trip snow hike for the sweet reward of getting there first. Today we (a group of flatlanders from MN and WI) made the hike. It was a little tough at first but once we made it to the Grey's Peak parking lot our spirits perked right up. Finally we made it to GZ and I spotted the goods right away. I opened the container to discover a CLEAN LOG SHEET! WOO HOO!!! This is our 4th straight year with an FTF out here and this one was by far the most we had to work for it. Totally a favorite point. Thanks for bringing us here!
